I Want to Get Pregnant: Every Woman Should Know

calendarAugust 23, 2016

I want to get pregnant

There are some women who are so desperate to get pregnant that they want to get pregnant now. In order to get pregnant ASAP, you need to understand when the right time to get pregnant is. It involves an intimate knowledge of your body and your menstrual cycle.

The first day of the period is the day you first bleed. Most cycles are 28 days long although some women have shorter or longer cycles. Long cycles usually mean you ovulate late in the cycle, which makes it difficult to know when you are ovulating. If your periods are shorter than 28 days, it can mean that you are not ovulating at all. This is more difficult than having long periods.

You are likely to get pregnant on day 14, which is the day you ovulate. Your fertile period is between 9 and 15 days after the onset of the cycle. You can get pregnant during the fertile period. Once you have ovulated, the chances of getting pregnant go down to zero because the egg degenerates after one day post-ovulation, find out can you get pregnant from precum.

I Don’t Want a Teen Pregnancy

If you are a teen and don’t want to get pregnant until later in life, you need to seek medical advice about getting on some kind of birth control. The birth control can involve taking a birth control pill, taking Depo-Provera, putting in an IUD, or using Plan B. Plan B should be the last option as it cannot be used every time you have sex.

Many teens choose to use the birth control pill. It is taken every day so that ovulation is blocked. One pill a day is taken for three weeks, followed by a week of dummy pills that have no hormone in them. This is when most teens get their period. The birth control pill should be taken every day without fail or an ovulation can happen, especially with low-dose birth control pills. Still, it has a low side effect profile and protects a person from pregnancy 1 out of every 100 people.

The Depo-Provera shot is an every three month injection that contains synthetic progesterone. It prevents ovulation and thins the lining of the uterus so that implantation cannot take place. The periods diminish and can stop. If you stop the shot, it can take up to 2 years to have normal fertility again.

An IUD is an implanted device in the uterus that prevents implantation. It can be used indefinitely although those that contain hormones, like Mirena, need to be replaced every 5 years.

I Want to Get Pregnant with Twins This Month

I want to get pregnant with twins

There is no way you can guarantee that you will have twins. Even those who have IVF cycles and who inseminate with two embryos cannot guarantee that both will implant. The best way to have a pregnancy with twins is to take Clomid, which is a medication that triggers ovulation. It is taken from days 5-9 of the menstrual cycle and increases the chances of getting fraternal twins.

Clomid only increases the chances of having a twin pregnancy to about 11 percent. If you can afford IVF, you can increase your chances of having twins by having more embryos implanted in the uterus. Unfortunately, even implanting 3-4 embryos don't guarantee twins and could mean that you have triplets or quadruplets instead.
