  • Digestive system – the intestines of the baby starts to develop at 8 weeks and the baby may also have gone through 2 sets of kidneys.
  • The sense of touch – the baby will now have a sense of touch on his face at 8 weeks. By the 12th week, the receptors are all formed on the genitals, soles of the feet and palms too.
  • The heart and the brain – at 5th week, the heart starts to form its tube and the heartbeat will start to be spontaneous. It will be stronger and regular. At the 8th week of pregnancy, the brain of the baby will start to wiggle and it will start to develop the limbs.

  • Darkening of the areola - this symptom can appear all throughout your pregnancy period. If you notice darkening of your areola, then this might be considered as one of the sign that you are pregnant.
  • Changes in your taste and smell - if you experience sensitivity to your smell and being picky about foods, don’t be surprised because this is very common for pregnant women. Pregnant women usually crave for certain kind of food and some complaints of being too picky. Their sense of smell also becomes very sensitive.
